Fr. Eugene Roy - Witness Interview

Sunday, October 7, 2018 - Fr. Eugene Roy is pastor of St. Ann’s Parish in Tecumseh, ON. Ordained a priest in 1984, Fr. Roy served parishes in the Dioceses of London, Ontario and Pembroke, Quebec before spending five years in Chiclayo, Peru.

Fr. Roy’s keen interest in music led to his service on the hymn selection committee for the Catholic Book of Worship III. In 1999, he was appointed Episcopal Vicar of the Diocese of London for Francophone Affairs.

In addition to his parish duties, Fr. Roy serves on the board of directors of St. Joseph’s Healthcare Society, the sponsor of Hospital Corporations in London, Chatham, and the St. Joseph’s Hospice in Sarnia and London.

Fr. Roy He is a fourth-degree member of the Knights of Columbus. Since 2017 he has served as a consultant to the National Council of Liturgical Music for the Ontario Region in 2017, a branch of the National Liturgy Office of the Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops.
