This exciting “World Youth Day Generation pilgrimage” is the first trip to the Holy Land for Mary Rose Bacani, Justyna and Jasmin Lemieux-Lefebvre, Caroline Brandes and Richard Valenti. The group is from a diverse background, with its members hailing from the Philippines, Poland, Quebec, Germany, and Italy. Mary Rose, the producer of the documentaries, expressed her enthusiasm before their departure- "I cannot wait to have this experience that will, I hope, attract more and more pilgrims to the land of Jesus".

From Bethlehem to Nazareth, from Tiberias to Jerusalem, the team sheds new light on Christian pilgrimage at a time where tourism in Israel is booming, attracting 373,000 tourists in the first quarter of 2005, a 25% jump over the comparable quarter in 2004.

Fr. Thomas Rosica, C.S.B., CEO of Salt + Light Television, is very familiar with the Holy Land and meaning of pilgrimage; he served as an advisor to the Israeli government pilgrimage’s promotion division since 1990. He has arranged this pilgrimage with the Israeli government tourism office, the Palestinian national authority, the Latin Patriarchate of Jerusalem and Vatican officials. For Fr. Rosica, “To discover the Holy Land is to discover the ‘fifth gospel’, the key to understanding the other four”.
