Archbishop Anthony Mancini’s installation mass as 12th Archbishop of Halifax

In Pope Benedict’s latest major episcopal appointment in Canada, Archbishop Anthony Mancini has been named Archbishop of Halifax and Apostolic Administrator of Yarmouth on October 18, 2007.

Prior to his new appointment, Archbishop Mancini served as Auxiliary Bishop of the Archdiocese of Montreal. Born in 1945 in Italy, the 62 year-old Archbishop celebrates 37 years of priestly ministry and 8 years as a Bishop. Ordained in Montreal, Mancini remained in Quebec for all of his priestly ministry prior to his episcopal appointment to the Maritimes.
