Marriage and Society – Episode 5

Bio - Who is Dan?

The family might be the cornerstone of society, yet in our world today it is also threatened by the values of society itself. What are the threats to today’s Christian hope for the family? How can we as Christians defend ourselves against these threats?

We discuss these issues with Daniel Cere, the founder and director of the Institute for the Study of Marriage, Law, and Culture in Montréal, Quebec.

Daniel Cere, who teaches ethics at McGill University, is a major figure in Canadian scholarship and a consultant to several North American think-tanks. As the founder and director of the Institute for the Study of Marriage, Law, and Culture, a free-standing academic think-tank, he has become an important voice in the current same-sex marriage debate. Dan is also the co-editor of the 2004 book Divorcing Marriage, published by McGill Queens Press, that has recently been in the limelight of Canadian public debate.
