POPE BENEDICT XVI APPOINTS FR. THOMAS ROSICA, CSB, CONSULTOR OF THE PONTIFICAL COUNCIL FOR SOCIAL COMMUNICATIONS
On February 26th it was announced in Rome that the Holy Father has appointed Fr. Thomas Rosica, CSB, Consultor to the Pontifical Council for Social Communications for a five-year term. Fr. Rosica has been the Chief Executive Officer of the Salt and Light Catholic Media Foundation and Television Network in Canada since its inception in 2003. He will continue in that role at the Salt and Light headquarters in Toronto, Canada.
The Pontifical Council for Social Communications deals with questions concerning the instruments of social communications and relates to the worlds of journalism, radio, television, film and information technology. The Pontifical Council works in close liaison with the Vatican Secretariat of State and advises the Pope on matters of Social Communications.

ON THE ROAD TO JERUSALEM
A six-part series to prepare for Easter from the National Catholic Broadcasting Council of Canada: A biblical reflection program, hosted by Archbishop Terrence Prendergast, SJ, of Ottawa, who recorded these programs in 1996 during his time as Auxiliary Bishop of Toronto. This six-part series was written by Fr. Thomas Rosica, CSB.
